We do not cut corners when constructing anything at Lunch Money Designs. We love what we do, and believe in our products so much that we warranty our bags against defects caused by the use of subpar materials and poor craftsmanship for the lifetime of our company. No one can see the future, so we cannot put an actual number on it, but as long as Lunch Money Designs is still an operating company we will honor our promise. We hope to be around for a while, so you might want to put any of your Lunch Money bags in your will.
If it’s our fault, we will repair any of our bags for the lifetime of our company. If we cannot repair the bag due to the nature of the repair or we no longer have the required materials in stock, we will replace it with a bag in a similar style and pay for shipping to and from us.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, i.e. the sides of your bag begins to fade after eleven years of shoving in the bottom drawer of your desk at work. We do not warranty our bags against any destruction due to forces out of our control, i.e. the strap getting torn off on the conveyer at O’Hare airport. Finally, but possibly most important, the warranty does not cover poor lacks in judgement or gross overestimation of the durability of our bags, i.e. a crazy, wild night in Vegas where you mistook your clutch for a barf bag, or the day you decided to carry your toy poodle, Furiosa, in your tote because the color of it brought out the brown in her eyes. Aawww, cute. We still won’t cover that though.
With all that being said, we would like to help whenever possible. So if your bag is in need of some TLC for any reason not covered by our warranty, give us a call anyway. We might be able to repair it for a modest fee. We love all our bag babies, and wouldn’t want any of them tossed in the back of a closet because your hidden piece of chocolate melted in the bottom.
If your bag is made entirely of vegetable tanned leather or just certain parts of it, like the straps or tags, be sure to protect it with a waterproofing product for leather. Leather and water are not typically friends, but vegetable tanned leather, even more so than chromium tanned (factory finished) leather, is extremely susceptible to water spots and staining. Apply a waterproofing product more than once for optimal results, usually once a year or simply follow the frequency recommended in the instructions of the specific product you are using.
